NetworkManager 1.0 Rilasciato

Dopo circa 10 anni di sviluppo è finalmente disponibile la versione 1.0 stabile di NetworkManager, ecco le principali novità.

NetworkManager è un progetto open source nato nel 2004 dagli sviluppatori Red Hat per migliorare (o meglio ancora facilitare) la configurazione e gestione delle varie connessioni Wireless e Lan in distribuzioni Linux. Lo sviluppo di NetworkManager ha reso il software sempre più stabile e completo a tal punto da essere ormai di default nelle più diffuse distribuzioni Linux. Oltre alla configurazione e gestione di reti Wireless e cablate, NetworkManager fornisce anche il supporto per connessioni internet mobili, inserendo anche presets di configurazione dei più diffusi operatori telefonici. A circa dieci anni dalla nascita del progetto NetworkManager è finalmente disponibile la nuova versione 1.0 Stabile, aggiornamento che rende il gestore delle connessioni per Linux sempre più completo e funzionale.
